Interesting but could have achieved the same with a moist cloth, damp sand, etc. Fine for just germination but comparatively more expensive if were to scale up to many seeds.

I have two azaleas under a window that I want to transplant to the sides where I used to have junipers. So each will be moving about 2 to 3 feet and further apart. I live in hot, humid Oklahoma, 7b. Do you recommend doing this in the fall…..like October, or spring after the blooms have fallen? Thanks so much for your videos and advice

Ii, I live in zone 3 and recently I bought rhododendrone Rosy LIghts and White Lights. The Northern LIghts series varieties are the most cold hardy and grow max 4 f. I would like to plant them as close as possible so that whit and pinky blooms would blend, intermix, to give an impression of one big bush with white and rosy flowers. Have you seen something similar in your practice? Do you thnk it is a good idea? Thank you.

So, put the bud union 2 inches below ground level but don't cover it? That doesn't make sense to me. Won't runoff eventually cover it anyway if it's below ground level? Is that the point? Need more info on contradictory statements.

Great info but I was hoping it would answer my issue, which is: today is Tuesday. I just bought an azalea at the local grocery store. How do I keep it alive and looking gorgeous until Friday when I’m giving it away? Does it need watering? Full sunlight or partial? I just need it to live for 4 more days.

Thank you so much! I live in Northeast Ohio. I am an Arbor day member so every year they tempt me with trees to renew my membership. Now I have 10 flowering (bare root) trees coming. I have the space, but I have trouble deciding on the perfect spot. I think about angles, views, etc. 3 Eastern redbud, 3 white dogwood, 2 Washington Hawthorn, 2 Sargent crabapple. 5 sweet shrubs. (That is what is on the way.) I also have several other trees and bushes in pots in the house. Some red buckeyes, crape myrtles, smoke bush, 2 red pine, and lots of white pine saplings to relocate. HELP!😊

There is a Seven Sons tree growing down the my street in central Indiana, and I have to say, it is not impressive. For all the rave reviews I see and hear, this one is noticeable for one week each year when the white flowers appear. The bark is mostly hidden by the rapid stem growth. The lingering bracts barely turn reddish. Yes there is a faint hint of color after flower fall but it looks nothing like some photos. Clearly not all of these shrub/trees are the same! I'd say ONLY buy if you have seen it in the fall and KNOW it looks like the promotional photos! This was planted when a nice small tree shape. It has rapidly become a LARGE rangy shrub shape that for 51 weeks out of the year you'd never notice as being attractive.
